Texting Through Time, John Taylor And The Mystery Puzzle by Christy Monson~ A Book Review

Christy Monson has written another fabulous book for all ages 5 to 105.This book is entitled; "Texting Through time John Taylor and the Mystery Puzzle." This is the second one in the series.
I am a Grandmother of 31 grandchildren. I enjoy reading and I hope to instill in my grandchildren the desire to read good uplifting novels. I love reading to my younger grandchildren and I know they would be excited to hear about Micah and Alicia's adventures in this book.
Christy has a true gift of writing. As I read this book I was pulled quickly into the plot. I was amazed at how she wove through the pages of this book the adventures of modern day children experiencing pioneer life.
The two main characters are Micah and Alicia. They had already experienced going back in time with their time traveling phone in Christy's first book; "Texting Through time, A Trek With Brigham Young."They had some very unique pioneer experiences with Brigham Young and some sweet moments with Joseph and Emma Smith and others. They were again excited to have another adventure. This time they were able to follow John Taylor as a child in England and then through other moments of his life.
This book not only teaches your children about church history; but what the children of that day were like, including how they dressed, what kind of food they ate, and what kind of activities they enjoyed. Most of all it taught them lessons in Courage, Faith, Love, Prayer, Hard Work and Honesty. At the end of the book there are fun questions to ask your children. Here you will be able to discuss with them the values and other lessons pertinent today.
The one thing I enjoyed the most was feeling the spirit while reading their experiences. If you want your children to feel the spirit in their lives; this book will do just that.
Both Micah and Alicia kept a journal of their adventures. As they wrote their thoughts your children will  observe how their testimonies of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints grew. Perhaps they will be inspired to keep their own daily journal of life experiences.
This book would make a wonderful Birthday and or Christmas gift for the important children in your life.

There will also be a Book Blast on November 13th. Anyone who goes on Amazon.com and buys a book and then leaves Christy a comment on her website or blog will automatically be entered into a drawing to receive a $25.00 gift certificate to Amazon.com.

Oh my gosh, I've done it again. I wrote such a long post and then something happened. I must have pushed on something because the whole thing just disappeared. I don't even know whether I can reconstruct it but I will try. I did mention that this book sounded like a good one. I also thought I wouldn't be reading it because I haven't bought a book or read a book outside of my kindle that Sue gave me for my birthday a couple of years ago. She bought it in her name so I get to read all of the books she buys and because Sue is such an avid and FAST reader, I have a lot left to read. I will never EVER catch up with her. I have read almost 250 and still have over 300 in her archives. I read every single night while Dick watches television. I don't really watch much T.V. so get a lot of reading time in.

Anyway, I'm sorry I am so slow in my reading of blogs. I haven't done much on my computer lately(probably because I read so much). I decided to take Sue's advice and only blog when I feel like it, instead of weekly. The last two I did were 10 days apart. I won't stop completely though, because I love reading yours and keeping in touch occaisionally.
