Happy New Year! Reflections on the 2022~

Dearest Blog Friends,
It has been some time since I have written a blog. That being said, I have missed blogging and reading your blogs. You are all important to me, and I feel sad that I haven't connected. My life had been blessed with too much on my plate. However, it has been a feast of many good things that I will share briefly with you.
Here are sweet blessings received in 2022:
We celebrated our fifty-fifth Wedding Anniversary on June 13th, 2022. First, we drove to Spokane, Washington, for our Granddaughter's Graduation, and then we took two days for an anniversary celebration. It was a great trip.

Three Grandchildren graduated from High School in May and June.

We had a beautiful Family Reunion in July: Fifty-six of sixty-three were in attendance.
The younger grandchildren swam in a pond, went bowling as a family, played games, and had a unique family night program. For this program, we shared an ancestor story and two-family movies from years ago. Everyone enjoyed that. We also did a service project of cleaning all the windows in the home we stayed in and some of the land surrounding the house.
In remembrance of our Grandson, Austin, who was killed in an accident in October of 2021, we had 10 lighted lanterns on the pond and then watched as they floated around. It was interesting that 9 of the lanterns came together, and one was left alone in another area of the pond. We felt that Austin was near. He is greatly missed in our family.

Four Granddaughters and Grandson-in-law received their temple endowments.

Our Grandson Ethan returned home and reported a remarkable mission in the Los Angeles California Mission.

Between all these happy moments, there have been many other memorable ones. We have learned a lot this year, and our family has grown dramatically since July. Families and our newly married couples have come and stayed. In between, we have had other Young Adult Grandchildren here off and on.
We decided to become William's family Inn with a shuttle back and forth to the airport and a place to store their cars while they are gone.
We have loved every minute of our time with our precious family.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration with a couple of the families. There were a total of 24. We then had our annual Christmas program with our oldest son, Sean, and his family and other Grandchildren in the area. There were about 18 to this one.

I want to get more control of my time in the new year and be back to blogging. May you all know and feel my true love for each of you, dear friends. I have missed you.
I am grateful for the many rich blessings I have received this year. You will always be counted as one of my blessings. I have learned a lot from reading your blog posts and learning more about the things you love through the years.

Happy New Year, and may you each have many blessings during 2023!!

Hello! Happy New Year! It's so good to see you back! I love seeing all of these awesome photos, you had a wonderful year. I hope you have gotten some rest after the reception and wedding. It seemed like a long few days, but they were so precious that I wanted them to last just a bit longer. It was so fun to see you and Roger and to spend time with you. It always feels like we have just seen you, even though it has been a long time between visits. I hope the new year is a blessed one for you guys! Much love, Barb
