Why We Believe In Temple Worship~

Last Week we were thrilled to go to the L.D.S. Tabernacle to attend the 30th year celebration of the Jordan River Temple. Many years ago, we bought a piece of property right next to where they were building this temple. We looked forward to being able to build a home there in anticipation of living right next door.  Regretfully, that didn't happen. We ended up moving to another area and had to sell the property in order to purchase a home. I still treasure memories of holding a family home evening on that empty property as we bore testimony to our children of our love for the temples.

Due to the present politics going on in the nation and controversy over our beliefs; our temple worship has been under scrutiny.  We ourselves believe that we are true Christians and thus followers of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Our name is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The following is a few thoughts on our beliefs about temples and what we learn by being in the temple.
The L.D.S. Temple for me is my favorite place to be, my favorite date, and my favorite family event. As a temple worker now I love going and helping in the temple. It's like a dream come true that we now live just 2.6 miles from the Jordan River Temple.
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints we believe that as spirit children of our Heavenly Father that we lived with him in what we term the pre-existence. There we prepared for our sojourn on earth. We come to earth to gain a body and to prove ourselves through the exercise of our agency to choose good verses evil. One of our main goals while here is to embrace the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The core of our belief is faith in Jesus Christ and his atonement.
We believe all of Heavenly Father's spirit children that have been born on the earth will have an opportunity to except or reject the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is why we do temple work, first for ourselves and then for our ancestors. This is also why we do missionary work; to teach others of our beliefs. The Temple is a sacred place and here we make sacred covenants with our Heavenly Father. In the temple we learn further about the Plan of Salvation. We provide for the dead, ordinances such as baptism and etc. These ordinances will bring each person who has ever lived the blessings of the temple if they accept. After this life; we believe that those who did not have the gospel while on the earth will be taught in the spirit world and have the opportunity to accept or reject these saving ordinances. We believe in being married and sealed not for just earth life; but for eternity. We believe in eternal marriage and families.

Here are a few thoughts that came to my mind while listening to the various speakers for this Temple Devotional. For us the temple is an oasis in the desert of the world. It is a place to learn about the Plan of Salvation and the Atonement of Jesus Christ. There is protection in the Covenants made. Through frequent attendance at the temple we can see more clearly our priorities of life and find answers to our prayers. There is great peace and solace and spiritual healing within the walls of the temple. God does heal the broken heart. The Eternal covenant of Marriage and families become our focused goal. Being in the temple brings us closer to Heaven on Earth.
Here is a video presentation of the inside of some of our temples. Before a temple is dedicated we hold open houses where anyone may come and walk through the temple and learn more about our beliefs.

We believe in preparing spiritually for the Temple~

"Be Of Good Cheer"~ I Believe

I had a lovely blessing given to me that I treasure and read freguently. There are two sentences that I often ponder upon.  One is to be optimistic and cheerful. The other is to accept gladly church assignments and responsibilities. Because of the second one I have yet to turn down a calling or assignment in my church. I must add here that I have been deeply blessed by all of these opportunities to serve. You know the thought that when you write about something it may be for your benefit more than for others. This may be true for me today.
OK, I am not always optimistic and cheerful; although I try to be. Today I was helping a dear sister who has been trying to get her Social Security Card replaced. I took her to the Social Security office for the third time. She finally had her birth certificate of which she thought was the only item she needed. We were informed that she had an expired Driver's License so it would not count as an Valid ID and she would need to bring another document in to prove her identiy. We tried last week to get her a Valid ID at the Driver's License office but they needed a copy of her Social Security card. I don't think this is a win win situation. I also took her to another government office to take in the last paper she thought was needed for her file.We have been to this office 5 times. Again, this was not the last trip there. She now had to apply for a hearing and would need other documentation. After today's events I am not feeling very optimistic or cheerful about the outcome of all of this. It has been a long day.
However, when I get in these moods I know that if I will pray and read my scriptures, Ensign article, a good book or do a blog post; I will feel much better. Sometimes, vigorous exercise helps; but I am way too tired for that. However many times I just enjoy wallering in my moment of depression.
I have been reading a new book entitled: "65 Signs Of The Times" by David J. Ridges. David Ridges said the following of our past Prophet, President Gordon B. Hinckley: "Pres. Hinckley was a wonderful prophet to follow. He exuded optimism and had a delightful sense of humor. At a multi-stake regional conference some years ago that I attended, during the Saturday priesthood leadership session, President Hinckley kept the priesthood brethren laughing for a solid 45 minutes".
President Hinckley spoke at my Father in law, LaMar Williams's funeral and said the following. "As I have been attending the funerals of my associates I feel like I am the last leaf on the tree and the wind is blowing." He lived until he was 97 years old. Yes, he was a wonderful optimistic and cheerful prophet.
President Thomas S. Monson
Our current Prophet, President Thomas S. Monson also teaches on this subject of being optimistic. Here are some some thoughts from him given on April 5, 2009 Sunday Morning Session of General Conference. The message was entitled: "Be Of Good Cheer."
It would be easy to become discouraged and cynical about the future -or even fearful of what might come- if we allowed ourselves to dwell only on that which is wrong in the world and in our lives. Today, however, I'd like us to turn our thoughts and our attitudes away from the troubles around us and to focus instead on our blessings as members of the Church. The Apostle Paul declared, "God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)
None of us makes it through this life without problems and challenges--and sometimes tragedies and misfortunes. After all, in large part we are here to learn and grow from such events in our lives. We know that there are times when we will suffer, when we will grieve, and when we will be saddened. However, we are told, "Adam fell that men might be; and men are that they might have joy." (2 Nephi 1:25). How might we have joy in our lives, despite all that we may face? Again from the scriptures: "Wherefore, be of good cheer, and do not fear, for I the Lord am with you, and will stand by you." (D&C 68:6)
He concluded this message by declaring the following:
I testify to you that our promised blessings are beyond measure. Though the storms clouds may gather, though the rains may pour down upon us, our knowledge of the gospel and our love of our Heavenly Father and of our Savior will comfort and sustain us and bring joy to our hearts as we walk uprightly and keep the commandments. There will be nothing in this world that can defeat us."
President Gordon B. Hinckley
"In all of living, have much fun and laughter. Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured.”
By President Gordon B. Hinckley
Now I feel better!

12. We believe in being asubject to bkings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in cobeying, honoring, and sustaining the dlaw.
We believes that no matter where you live in the world you should obey, honor and sustain the law of that country. This means we should not drive faster than the speed limit! This means that we pay our taxes and obey many other laws that are given. We believe that the Constitution of the United States and Declaration of Independance were inspired. We believe that when we are voting on a measure, amendment or other issues we should be informed and vote according to our own individual conscience. In this political year we are encouraged to read and participate in choosing men or women that represent our values. We are again encouraged to learn about the canidates and then vote according to our own inspiration.

The Simple Woman's Daybook ~ I Believe

Before sure to take a moment to drop by and read other daybook entries @ http://thesimplewomansdaybook.blogspot.com/

FOR TODAY Outside my window...I woke up with sunshine peaking through my bedroom blinds. I popped out of bed ready to face the day. On cloudy days I am much slower. Do you think I might have Seasonal Effective Disorder? I know that at the least I am not as motivated on the dreary days.
I am thinking...I need to give some calming medication to our dog Sammy and then take both our pets to the groomer. We give the medication to Sammy so he won't be a  trouble maker while getting groomed.
I am thankful...for so many blessing; too many to count. I just feel that my husband and I have been deeply blessed with material and spiritual blessings. As we serve as Inner City Missionaries; I feel even more blessed. We have so much; they have so little. We are not allowed to give any money away to those in need. We basically help them with finding funds through our church and other community resources. So many of them do not know how to earn a living and or budget their funds. We have recently been working with a family of four that live in a 34 year old 19 foot camping trailer. I swear it is held together with duct tape. They just signed a lease for an apartment and are very excited to get out of the trailer.
I believe that we will one day have a Zion Society as found in Moses 7:18 And the Lord called his people aZion, because they were of bone heart and one mind, and dwelt in righteousness; and there was no poor among them. I pray for that day to come.
In the kitchen... there is a cookie jar 1/2 full of Chocolate Chip Oatmeal cookies. I have already had 5 for the day. I am in so much trouble. My husband bought me a lovely suit for Christmas and it is pretty snug. I must get into it soon or I will feel bad. I know these cookies don't help this situation.
I am wearing...faded blue jeans, royal blue tee shirt, light blue socks and sling back tennis shoes.
I am creating...a family group record to be added to our genealogy record in our church's genealogical data base.
I am going...to complete this daybook entry, a couple of other chores and then pick up my sweet little dogs from the groomer.
I am wondering...how to put in place a priority list of needful things to accomplish and then actually do them.
I am reading... first of all "The Book of Mormon" daily. I try to read at least a chapter a day. I am studying it with a workbook and learning a lot.  I love the Book of Mormon and I  have a friendship with it. Reading from this precious book, I have had many answers to prayers and spiritual experiences. I know this book to be true. This book is a history of a family who came to America from Jerusalem around  600 BC. The family came out of Jerusalem before it was destroyed. It is the story of the this group of people; their struggles, contentions, wars and also their spiritual experiences. It is also "AnotherTestament of Jesus Christ" because it tells of the Savior's visit to those ancient people after His Resurrection. The Native Americans of a this land and South America are their posterity.
I am also reading "Light & Truth" Volume 2: The Gathering by Darryl Harris. This is a historical novel of a group of people who came to the United States in the 1840's after joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in England. This book focus's on their travel per ship to America. In those days this was not a pleasant experience. Many of them  left their homes and some of their family members because of their faith. Some of them died for various reasons while on the ship. It is a sad story, but also a story of great faith.
I am also reading; "In The Arms Of His Love" A Guide to Growing Closer to the Savior and Receiving His Unconditional Love by Steven A. Crammer. I have been reading this for a long time and I only have 2 chapters left. It has been a wonderful experience and I have learned so much about my Savior and how to get closer to Him
I am hoping...to have a quiet night with my dear husband. He has been working very hard  everyday. He was recently called to serve in our temple as a Coordinator on the early morning Saturday shift. On Friday he has a schedule to make up for 90 brethren that work at the temple. It takes a long time to do this. I was called to be the Instructor on the same shift. I will do the training of the new sisters; along with keeping the other sisters updated.  There are 85 sisters on this shift.
Due to Friday being a busy day and we have to be at the temple at 3:45 am on Saturday mornings there will be no more Friday night dates. We will probably switch to Thurday nights for a date.
I am looking forward to...the temple on Saturday, the baptism of a family from Chad, Africa plus a father and son,  a visit to a Grandson and a Great Granddaughter for their Birthdays.  On Sunday, I am teaching a lesson in our Relief Society on the Prophet Joseph Smith, and attending a Temple devotional in the Tabernacle on Sunday evening.
I am learning...how to do the training in the temple.
Around the house... I am hoping to dust the house and clean the bathrooms tomorrow; they really need it.
I am pondering... how to teach the Relief Society lesson on Sunday.
A favorite quote for today...

"We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty." ~ Mother Teresa

One of my favorite things... is playing the piano. I don't do this often enough. I thought I would try to play a piece whenever I start to go in the kitchen for a snack. If I would do this, I would not only lose some much needed weight; but become proficient in playing the piano.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Let's see where do I start on this one. I think it is going to be run as fast as I am able attend all the functions on our schedule.
A peek into my day...
This is my two great grand daughters - Jadyn and Lilly. It is Jadyn's birthday tomorrow;
so I will get to hug them soon.
And this is my good news for the day!
I Believe in the 11th Article of Faith~
11 We claim the aprivilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the bdictates of our own cconscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them dworship how, where, or what they may.
I believe firmly in the 11th Article of Faith. Through the years and since the Church of Jesus Christ was restored to the earth in the 1820's; it has been the target of persecution because of it's teachings, refered to as a cult and generally ridiculed by other faiths.  We allow all men and woman to worship how, where, or what they may. It is not our disposition to speak ill of other faiths. In fact a few years ago our church helped to build a Baptist Missionary Church in Arizona.
When there is a disaster in any part of the world; our church immediately sends needful supplies and people to help. We give generously to humanitarian funds. We seek only to follow our Savior and do good works.

There is a great new book entitled Sonoma Rose by Jennifer Chiaverini. There is a give away on the book; you can find the details here: http://just4rambling.blogspot.com/

Happy Valentines To My Love~ Our Love Story

My girl friend Judy and I grabbed a bus to West High School where we would be starting our sophomore year in the fall. It was lovely summer day. We located the oldest building on the Campus; which was once the University of Deseret and eventually became the University of Utah.  We quickly found our Driver's Training  room and slipped into two seats on the second row. As I surveyed the room; I noted a very handsome young man just a few rows back. I smiled at him and felt my heart skip a beat.

Regretfully, we didn't get assigned to the same car; which may have been a blessing in disguise. Each day we would talk for a few moments. I felt rather shy around him. At the time I had another boyfriend; but this young man really caught my attention. I did have one memorable driving experience with him. I had a make-up driving class and he was in the car. I was so nervous that I couldn't  do the parallel parking maneuver. I always have had a hard time doing this maneuver and I barely passed it on my test. Now my dear husband has a slightly different version of how we first met; but I am staying loyal to my own memory.
Later on that summer he asked me out and how dumb of me to not accept the date. I guess I was just to loyal to the other boyfriend at that time. Our Sophomore year I didn't see him much but when I did; I still felt something churn inside of me.
Finally, our Junior year I had just barely broken up with a guy and was still feeling sad about it. I attended a dance at our church a few days before Halloween. One of the young men from our ward brought him to the dance. I remember him sitting on the stage looking very handsome in a black and yellow sweater. I danced with his friend; but he didn't even ask me to dance. However, I caught him watching me and my heart beat faster and I knew I liked him. We saw each other here and there and finally on November 17th; he and a friend gave me a ride home from a Church Basketball game, and he asked me out on a date. This first date was to the movie, "The Longest Day". I didn't want this long day to end. He held my hand and I thought I was in Heaven. He was very polite, a little shy and didn't try to kiss me which was very good. I liked that he wasn't too aggressive. On November 20th, my birthday he and his friend came over to see me. We went for a ride and he gave me a very beautiful pearl bracelet. I was smitten for sure.
For our Junior and Senior year we dated almost exclusive; except for a few dates with others to keep our parents from thinking we were getting too serious. We bought a car together during the last few months of our Senior year. He kept the car at his home. We went to the University of Utah to school and then in March of that year he left to serve a two year mission for our church in Northern California. While he was gone I worked on my nursing degree.
When he returned home and came over to see me; every feeling we had for one another was there. The best was yet to come.
The Story of our Engagement.
Within a few days of him coming home; we both felt very much in love with one another. However, one day he told me that his mother had been encouraging him to date a few other girls. I reminded him that if he did that; I would be dating other guys too. I was pretty upset about it all. He also told me that he was going to talk with his older siblings about us. He didn't fully explain why.  I didn't really understand what he was saying and was a little afraid of asking why. I just took it as a negative. When he took me home after this conversation; I was devastated. I told my parents and then I cried and prayed all night. They were both worried about me.The next day he was going to pick me up after my shift as a student nurse at the hospital. I went to work that day with a heavy heart. I prayed mightily during that day.
I changed my clothes in the locker room after work and then waited for him to pick me up. He didn't come for me instead he sent his brother to get me. This also disturbing to me. His brother told me that he couldn't get out off work early enough to pick me up. We were going to a wedding reception that night for a dear friend of mine. When his brother and I arrived at his house; we quickly left for the reception. While we were driving I did not sit close by him. He told me that he had talked with his oldest sister and that she really liked me. He finally coached me over and gave me a quick hug and kiss. We went to the reception, danced a few dances and then left. He invited me to go to work with him. He had  a second night job cleaning a couple of floors of a bank building. When we arrived at his work he had me sit in the lobby. I spent the time reading some magazines.  After a couple of hours he came back and asked if I had any thoughts as to where we might go and just talk for a while. I said no; so he chose to drive up a nearby canyon. We finally pulled down into a meadow and there was a bridge going across a dry ravine. We got out of the car and walked out on the bridge and were talking about how beautiful the night was. He finally said to be "If you could have anything in this world; what would it be". I replied, " to have you". He then pulled out a ring box with a beautiful shaped Rose ring with a diamond in it and said; "will this do". I was so happy and we both cried because we had waited for so long to be together. When he took me home; we went into our home to show my parents. They were so thrilled for us; they had always loved him.
This was an engagement picture; the day after. It was General Conference Weekend and we attended it at the Tabernacle.
We were married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 13th.

One year later we drove up to the same area and went out on the Bridge to celebrate our 1st  anniversary and our Volkswagen decided to follow us down to the Bridge. No cells phones in that era; so we had to try and push it back off the bridge so we could back it out and get onto the road. We laughed a lot about that one.
The years have passed and our love keeps growing and we are welding the links of our family together forever. In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints we believe Families are forever. We were married and sealed to one another for eternity. I desire with all my heart and soul to be his eternal companion. Our marriage is something that we have worked hard on to one day be worthy of exaltation. This means to be worthy to live with our Heavenly Father someday.
So to my Valentine I would say; thanks you for all of the precious years we have had with one another and may this continue for forever. You are my greatest blessing. You are one of the kindest most loving man I know. I will love you forever. Thanks for being my Valentine.
I Will Love You Forever ~

Love Is An Action Word~ AValentine To You All~

As Valentines Day approaches I have been reflecting on a memory or two. When I was a little girl, I remember that we made Valentine cards at school for every one in our class and then gave them out to one another. Usually they were homemade paper hearts.

We would decorate a  box for these special Valentines to go in. I was always excited to bring my box home to show my parents my beautiful cards.

I remember one year that my dear father bought me a Valentine Story Book Doll. That doll and a few other story book dolls are very precious to me.

Another fun memory was on Valentine's night we would take our homemade cards to our neighbors and friends. We would drop them on their front porch, stamp our feet or ring the door bell and then run and hide. Sometimes, we would play a trick on our friends by having a string attached to the Valentine. We would hide and pull the string as they went to pick the Valentine up. Of course, we  were caught and we all had a good time laughing and enjoying the moment. The Valentines cards always had the word "Love" on it. However,
love really is more than a paper heart. President Gordan B. Hinckley said the following; "Love is  the very essence of life.It is the pot of Gold at the end of the rainbow.

Yet it is more than the end of a rainbow. Love is at the beginning also, and from it springs the beauty that arches across the sky on a stormy day. Love is the security for which children weep, the yearning of youth, the adhesive that binds marriage, and the lubricant that prevents devastating friction in the home. It is the peace of old age, the sunlight of home shinning through death.  How rich are those who enjoy it in their associations with family, friends, church friends and neighbors. Love is a sought after gift of God."
On a daily basis, I have been able to watch and participate in Love In Action. I have observed and experienced gifts of love within our family as they have served  one another. I have felt the frustration of helplessness, but have been warmed by the love of many when I or a member of our family has suffered trials, illnesses, and other struggles of life. There have been many acts of kindness and love given freely to our family.
As a Hospice nurse I have witnessed many instances of love unfold in the winding up scenes of death. Bonds of love have been strengthened and tender loving moments experienced among the family members.
I know the pure joy of love when bringing forth a new born child.
I have felt the loneliness of son's and daughter away on two year missions. When letters from them would come I  could see the evidence of their growing love for the work. These letters would warm my heart. Then of course the  welcome home of these dear children to our loving arms again.
I have experienced increased love for our children's spouses as they have married and started families of their own. These added sons and daughters are loved deeply as though they were born to us. What joy; what love as we have held each of our new born grandchildren and great grandchildren. Love just keeps increasing as our posterity grows.
Each of these loving experiences have helped me stretch and grow in my love for others and especially deepened by gratitude and love for my Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ.
The basic need in the world today is for people to be taught true principles of love. True love is the exact opposite of the present philosophy of selfishness that seems to permeate the  world. True love is based on personal unselfishness. Love extends beyond convenience; It's going the extra mile in our relationships. Ceasing to be concerned with what we can get and more concerned with what we can give in our relationships.
Seek for this priceless gift of love. Our Savior, Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father wants us to love one another as they love us. Filled with this love we are prepared to take upon ourselves the cross of our daily lives and experience those unique feelings of love in our everyday relationships.
Through the years I have felt my love deepen for my family and my dear husband. I have many loved ones, friends, and blogging friends that have blessed my life with their love. I find it amazing how on a down day I will receive a call from a loved one or read a blog post from a friend that has lighten my burden of care with their love. Countless times when I am on my knees seeking peace of mind I will feel the spirit testify that my prayers are heard and I feel the warmth of the Savior's love for me. May we all seek to love one another as our Savior and Heavenly Father love us. Remember Love Is An Action Word.
Today I am sending you all a Valentine with the words; "I Love You".

Good News Sunday - Just Musing & LDS Humor

By the way, I need help taking down one of my Christmas Trees. I did read in one blog that a friend was keeping their Christmas Tree up year around and decorating it for each Holiday. I wonder if this idea will catch on quickly, so I can keep mine up.
Our Inner City Mission has been very busy this week for me. There have been some interesting Government issues. I have been trying to help a family get government housing assistance so they can get into an apartment. The family is finally at the top of the list. However, as part of the paperwork for this; the mother needed to give them her families Social Security information, all their Birth Certificates and valid Driver licenses. She had birth certificates for her children but neither her husband or her had certified copies. Her husband had a valid Drivers License but hers had expired. She has lost the Social Security Cards. In order to get a driver's license you have to have a birth certificate and your proof of Social Security Cards. In order to get replacements for your Social Security Cards you have to have a Valid driver's license. In order to get a Birth Certificate you need your Social Security card and your valid Drivers license. Are you confused now; I am. Through a few miracles; we almost have it put together. By next week if we don't get all of the paper work in they will lose their position in line for housing assistance. This is highly important since they are all most considered homeless.
Both my husband and I have been given new assignments at the Temple. I think this is good news?? We both enjoy working in the temple each Saturday morning. In fact it is our favorite place to be and our favorite Date. He was called to be the coordinator over about 85 men. He will be giving them assignments for the Saturday morning shift and coordinating the work.  I was called to be the instructor for the new women ordinance workers and responsible for the training on Saturday morning. We are feeling overwhelmed with these assignments; but we look forward to the challenge. In my mind the only difficult part of the assignment  at this moment is that we have to be at the temple on Saturday mornings at 3:45 am. I  do not do mornings well!
Here is some LDS humor - I am sure other faiths have similar moments.
Enjoy!!

"Living What We Believe" - I Believe~

A couple of weeks ago I was reading a lesson in our new Relief Society study manual for the Year. This year we are studying "Teachings Of Presidents Of the Church - George Albert Smith".

I was so impressed by the first Chapter of this book entitled "Living What We Believe".From the Life of George Albert Smith. These ideals were so wonderful; I decided to share them on this post.
"When I was 34 years old, George Albert Smith made a list of resolutions that he called his "personal creed" - 11 ideals that he committed to live by.

“I would be a friend to the friendless and find joy in ministering to the needs of the poor.
“I would visit the sick and afflicted and inspire in them a desire for faith to be healed.
“I would teach the truth to the understanding and blessing of all mankind.
“I would seek out the erring one and try to win him back to a righteous and a happy life.
“I would not seek to force people to live up to my ideals but rather love them into doing the thing that is right.
“I would live with the masses and help to solve their problems that their earth life may be happy.
“I would avoid the publicity of high positions and discourage the flattery of thoughtless friends.
“I would not knowingly wound the feelings of any, not even one who may have wronged me, but would seek to do him good and make him my friend.
“I would overcome the tendency to selfishness and jealousy and rejoice in the successes of all the children of my Heavenly Father.
“I would not be an enemy to any living soul.
“Knowing that the Redeemer of mankind has offered to the world the only plan that will fully develop us and make us really happy here and hereafter, I feel it not only a duty but also a blessed privilege to disseminate this truth.”
I have such a testimony of the truthfulness of these ideals. I know they could help us all to live better lives.

In staying true to my desire to let others know what I believe as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints here is Article of Faith number 10.

10. We believe in the literal agathering of Israel and in the restoration of the bTen Tribes; that cZion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will dreign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be erenewed and receive its fparadisiacal gglory.
