I do not have any pioneer ancestors. my parents are both converts, but I claim the pioneers as my own. They are a part of my heritage as a member of the Church, just as much as the founding fathers are a part of my heritage as an American.Dianehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14936500386549233744noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6365502408895918646.post-23851456309592303972017-07-25T17:34:56.563-06:002017-07-25T17:34:56.563-06:00Thanks for this beautiful post. Last summer I read a couple of historical fiction books based on the early westward movement of the Mormon pioneers--fascinating! Terrible hardships and sorrow, but such faith and courage these folks had--truly inspiring! I did not know that he and his wife were buried in Blackfoot, that's awesome! I knew that Amber and James both have that strong, Chesterfield connection, and I am pretty sure our relatives knew and loved each other. I would love to go to Chesterfield with you and Amber one time when you are here . . . we could even take the boys . . . ;0) Bob also has relatives who settled there. It's such a small world in the church. Like you, I am so grateful for my heritage, for the strength I still gain from those who gave so much for me. I am especially grateful for the knowledge of the Gospel. If it weren't for their faith and determination, I would not be blessed with the Gospel today.

Love you sweet friend! Hugs to you both.

Hugs and Love,
Barb Barbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15158897469583069249noreply@blogger.com
